Whispers of Elowyn - Community Highlight

What a month, what a journey...

A month filled with achieved milestones, creative chaos, and shared moments. 

Before anything else — thank you to everyone who has helped, and continues to help shape Elowyn and everything it represents. Being part of this journey is something I truly value, especially being able to share behind-the-scenes insights as we watch the magic unfold — Elowyn in all its glory and imperfection.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined our AMA (Ask Me Anything) & Community Meetup on April 14th. The energy was incredible and continues to ripple throughout Elowyn’s realm. The questions were thoughtful, the insights inspiring, and the connection undeniable. With a community like this, it’s only natural that Elowyn continues to grow stronger.

In-Game Shop and Marketplace are LIVE

We strived, we endured, we succeeded. 

It took time… It took patience… It took a few battles with Moloch behind the scenes…  But the branches have grown. You are now able to top up and use your EWA Points to purchase Card Packs and Stamina in our Shop, fuse and upgrade your cards in your Library, mint them as NFTs, and list and trade them on our Marketplace. To access the Elowyn marketplace, you'll need to use the same login method as you used for playing the game.

From Alpha to Beta

We have now officially completed the Alpha stage of development and, as of this week, are stepping into Beta. Here’s a look at what we’ve achieved so far — and what lies ahead.

Alpha — 100% Complete

We’ve reached a major milestone in Elowyn’s development:

• 10 playable Champions
• 10 different storage spots for decks
• 144+ cards with evolving deck strategies
• 3 in-game tutorials
• Game levels & Leaderboard to track your progress
• In-game wallet with email & Google sign-in
• Earn EWA and Reputation Points through gameplay
• In-game Shop LIVE to purchase card packs and Stamina
• Card upgrade system with NFT Minting using EWA points
• Elowyn Marketplace LIVE to trade and expand your collection
• Discord Level Growth & In-game Reward System

What’s Next — Public Beta (5–6 Months)

The next evolution of Elowyn is already taking shape:

• 15 different storage spots for decks
• Friend system and in-game notifications
• New card-upgrade utilities, including choosing a 2nd rule for your card
• Elowyn Tree AI chat — your in-game mentor
• Tournaments with new rewards
• In-game Quests & Friends Play features
• Cosmetics (Card Back Skins, maps)
• Profile Personalization
• Guilds
• 100 new cards
• Lore library with AI Agents

Season End Rewards

With Alpha now complete and over 39k players, Elowyn’s first season is coming to a close. Depending on your time zone, the new season will start on Friday, April 17th, which marks one more Milestone on our path. 

The top 100 players on the Leaderboard will be rewarded with Card Packs ranging from Sapling to Elowyn Packs with varying rarities and an upgraded card, equivalent to their position on the leaderboard, which is determined by the player's Reputation Points (RP). 

Congratulations to all our winners — enjoy your rewards and the many boons of Elowyn.

Moloch Deception

Today, we’re diving into one of Elowyn’s most intricate, misunderstood, and underrated mechanics — Deception.

Deception can be triggered by Shadow Arcs through Nyx’s Hero Power or by using Deception-trigger cards with any Shadow Arc. The objective is simple: trick the Guardian hero into losing one hour on the clock.

When a deception is triggered, it can take one of two forms:

• Offensive (red icon)
• Defensive (white icon)

Players can click on the preferred icon and then use the toggle to either tell the truth or bluff. The Guardian must interpret these signals and respond accordingly, using visual cues displayed in the bark (speech bubble).

How this affects gameplay as a Guardian:

Pay close attention to emotes from Shadow Arc suggestions:

• 👍 Truth
• 👀 Lie
• ❓ Doubt

Use Deception reveal cards like Owl, Diego, and Truthseeker, or use your intuition when faced with doubt.

Now that you know how to respond, use the different Card types to influence the outcome:

• Red icon = Offensive
• Blue icon = Defensive
• No icon = Neutral

The combination of cards played determines the final result. For example:

• One offensive + one defensive = Neutral outcome

Exception: A defensive card used to attack a Hero counts as offensive.

If executed correctly, time shifts in the Guardian's favour. If not, it benefits the Shadow Arc — or remains unchanged when actions are neutralized as described above.

Upcoming Event — Immutable Game Night

April 17th — 12:00 PM UTC

A special Elowyn x Immutable (IMX) Game Night — where strategy meets balance, and victory is defined by harmony. This will be our second Game Night with IMX, and it's a lot of fun. Come and join us, let's break all records together! 

Submission Criteria: 

• Screenshot of Leaderboard where your username is visible (Tip): Just do that as the start of the Game night event
• Full Win Screen Screenshot
• Screenshot of Leaderboard with username post-Match (n.b. don't send us your Discord username, EWA points can only be sent to your Elowyn game username). 

This is all you need for Submission.   

Where to Submit?  

• Submissions will be in the Immutable Server. ⁠Immutable｜player-proof under the "Gamers" Category.

Win-Win Criteria

Keep Tree Health ≥ 30 (or heal beyond for Reputation)
Move the Clock

• 00:00 → Guardian Hero
• 12:00 → Shadow Arc Hero
